Description
Hardback. 254pp. Black and white frontis with tissue guard and illustrated title page. Blue cloth illustrated in black and gilt to the front and spine. Dora was evidently very naughty; there is a damning review of her behaviour (rather then a review of the book) in the Journal of Education and School World, Volume 11; Volume 21 Dec. 1889 (p.647), the prim reviewer was clearly upset by Dora and her weak mother. This perhaps an interesting antecedent to books such as Enid Blyton’s The Naughtiest Girl in the School. Hard to find.
